Over the years, these are a few things I’ve been.
I started my career as an Art Director and later became a Creative Director, developing a nontraditional approach to advertising at agencies including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Leagas Delaney, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, and BSSP. I won numerous awards for my work with clients such as Adidas, eBay, Ace Hardware, Netflix, MINI and Priceline. For “Lamp,” a commercial directed by Spike Jonze for IKEA, I won the Grand Clio and Grand Prix at Cannes. And then I was one of Creativity’s Top 10 Art Directors in the world.
More recently, I’m a Director, represented by Fancy in the US, Kiddo in Canada and Snapper Films in the UK. It all started when I shot a spot for MINI called “Ahhhhhh!”. Since then, I’ve been honing my filmmaking craft by tackling a wide variety of projects, all with a cinematic approach. My greatest passions are for visual storytelling, comedy dialogue, and cars-- and I cannot resist a good period piece.
I’m also a husband and a dad to something like two or possibly five kids, it’s a blur sometimes.

“During my tenure as CMO at Priceline, I had the pleasure of working directly with Steve for over 10 years as we developed and expanded the most iconic campaign in the history of travel – The Priceline Negotiator. Throughout his time working on behalf of Priceline, Steve consistently demonstrated his outstanding creative talent and dedication to our brand through his work. His track record of developing award-winning campaigns, which garnered multiple Effie awards, speaks for itself. More importantly, Steve’s work played a pivotal role in propelling Priceline ahead of our competitors within the travel industry for many years. His ability to craft compelling narratives and intricate brand stories set us apart and captured both customer and media attention. Steve was a fantastic collaborator, always attentive to client feedback, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure that the creative work aligned perfectly with our brand positioning. I could always count on Steve to manage through challenging creative sequences, extremely short schedules, tight budgets, and cranky talent.
In short, Steve Mapp’s contributions have been instrumental in the success of Priceline, and I have the utmost confidence in his abilities as a creative professional. He has my highest recommendation, and I’m confident that any organization fortunate enough to work with him will experience the same level of excellence and success. I’m looking foreword to my next creative project with Steve.”
